- All players should bring all necessary equipment to every game.
- All players should bring plenty of water or sports drink.
- Any player not able to make a game for any reason should notify the coach ASAP.
- Some league play may require a small fee from parents to pay officials. The team manager will notify parents in advance of any fees.
- Practices
- Practices are mandatory. All players must attend practices and should make every effort to be on time and prepared to practice before the determined start time.

- Tournament Travel
- All players are responsible for their own travel to and from tournaments as well as their accommodations.
- Players should arrive at all overnight tournaments the day before (Friday night) as early as possible in order to assure they have the proper rest needed to compete the following day.
- Players should be in their rooms no later than 9:00pm on game nights and should be in bed no later than 10:00pm.

- Any player who does not represent Sporting in an appropriate manner while at any tournament will be asked to return home and will be subject to dismissal from the team depending on the infraction.
- Parent Involvement and Responsibilities
- Parents are encouraged to attend all practices, games and social functions. Parents are a crucial part of the success of this program and will continue to be a crucial part of the success of this program going forward.
- Parents will be called upon to assist with various volunteer duties from time to time throughout the season.
- i.e., collecting coaching fees, making phone calls, making hotel reservations, taking down and setting up goals and nets, taking pictures, editing articles for the web site, updating the team calendar, etc…..
- Parents are encouraged to be a positive influence on their child and those players around them. Cheering, encouragement and enthusiasm has always been a cornerstone of our organization and is key to motivating our players.
- However, it is not the role of the parent to provide instructions to the players before or during a game. This not only confuses players but often times it is contrary to the overall strategy the coaching staff has bestowed upon the players throughout the week or weeks of practice.
- Therefore, parents will not be allowed to coach players from the sidelines.
- All parents are encouraged to discuss issues that may come up with the coaching staff in a one-on-one setting.
- There will be a zero tolerance toward inappropriate behavior towards officials or opposing team’s spectators during games or at tournaments.
- The first offense will result in a one game team suspension in addition to any league imposed suspension.
- The second offense will result in a three game suspension in addition to any league imposed suspension.
- The third offense will result in the removal from the team and all affiliation with Santa Clara Sporting Soccer Club.
- Depending upon the offense, the team and Club may immediately remove an individual and player from the team and Club immediately.
- We have a website that is up and running. We will coordinate with parents this year to dish out responsibilities to better keep it updated with the latest information possible. If you are interested let Tino Silva know.
